// EL FUTURO - BIFACIAL TECHNOLOGY

Maximum Efficiency Through Dual Light Utilization.

While conventional solar panels only convert sunlight into electricity on the front side, our bifacial (double-sided) solar panels use both sides for energy generation. This revolutionary technology makes it possible to utilize not only direct sunlight, but also light reflected from surfaces – a crucial advantage that can increase your energy yield by up to 30%.

Perfect for Panama’s tropical climate with frequent cloud cover and high humidity. While conventional panels produce significantly less under cloudy skies, bifacial panels optimally utilize diffused light.

Inverters and Energy Storage

In addition, there is an energy storage system for electricity needs during the night, which we strongly recommend to everyone from today’s perspective. The storage modules we install are small, lightweight and produce no electromagnetic radiation as is often the case with other batteries.
Feeding into the public power grid was still worthwhile a few years ago, because private energy storage was enormously expensive and short-lived. State of the art batteries, however, has a lifespan up to 15 years under optimal conditions and has fallen sharply in price compared to previous modules, which ultimately makes energy feed-in to the public grid almost obsolete.

The inverters we use can work both ways. So you have the free choice whether you want to charge your own storage or supply energy to the public grid. You could theoretically change this daily.
This brings us to the heart of the system – the inverter. This is the central control center which monitors all processes and controls and optimizes them in real time. We mainly use our specially adapted Panael hybrid inverters, which can be adapted to any situation.

The inverter regulates the power distribution from the solar panels, from the power grid, controls the charging of the batteries and builds a stable and reliable network for your electrical loads.
As an example: If you consume more energy than is available from the solar modules, the inverter takes the additional power needed from the power grid or depending on the time of day¹ from your own storage. If you consume less energy than is currently being produced, the inverter directs the excess energy into the storage – or on request also into the public grid².

¹ Intelligent control – Example: If it is late afternoon (sun is setting soon) and therefore only little time remains to recharge the storage with solar power, the system naturally uses power from the grid, since the storage is primarily intended for supply during the night.

² Grid feed-in: We generally advise against this, as feeding electricity into the public grid is not only uneconomical, but also brings corresponding approval procedures and permits. Instead, we recommend using any surpluses to run the pool pump longer to save on water chemistry or to control air conditioning systems to pre-cool rooms that are only cooled at night.

The Sun dosent send a bill

At the same time, the inverter compensates for any voltage fluctuations that may be present, diverts overvoltages and switches your supply to battery operation without interruption in the event of a power outage. A backup generator is therefore no longer necessary. Voltage protectors also become superfluous, since the inverter protects your entire house anyway.

Furthermore, personal protection can also be applied. This consists of monitoring the entire house network for fault currents through an additional unit. If a person gets into a life-threatening electrical circuit, for example through a defective device, in the pool, bathroom, kitchen… the system recognizes this and disconnects the entire electrical circuit from the house in a fraction of a second. This can save your life in an emergency.
